A family nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed an advanced nursing program and has specialized training in family health care.

The term “family nurse practitioner” is used interchangeably with “family physician,” but it refers to those nurses that have completed post-graduate education in both family medicine and nursing. Family practice (FP) or general practice (GP) is a specialty area of medicine that includes all aspects of primary health care including physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and management of common illnesses within the family unit. Family nurse practitioners (FNPs), along with other advanced practice registered nurses such as Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Certified Midwives, and Physician Assistants; provide primary medical care to individuals within their licensed scope of practice until they can be referred to specialists in their choice of specialties.

I love when older women out of shape that let themselves go tell me that I’m going to end up just like them because nursing is so stressful and then I see beautiful women who care about their health and beauty like her

Repent and turn to Jesus Christ for he died for all of us while we were still sinners. He is coming back soon.

The people hurt by the lack of training of NPs will be minorities and people in poverty. Even the "superior" NP programs produce "providers" with a fraction of the training of physicians (average 6%). If you want to practice medicine, go get an MD/DO. Patients need to advocate for themselves and get the care they deserve.
