Family Literacy in the Time of COVID-19: Impacts Now and Moving Forward
Показать описание
We are delighted to be launching WFWP Perspectives with “Family Literacy in the Time of COVID-19: Impacts Now and Moving Forward” with Dr. Denny Taylor. She is an author, academic and activist. She has been continuously engaged in research with families living in extreme poverty, and in regions of armed conflict and natural catastrophes, since 1977.
The concept of "family literacy" originates in her doctoral research--which is now being used by many UN Member States in local projects and initiatives that are a conduit for peacebuilding and for addressing the many problems and challenges that are captured by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Taylor's transdisciplinary research combines anthropology, sociology, psychology and education which crosses over into the physical sciences in her research on the impact of the climate emergency on families and communities.
