Apple iPhone 6 Plus Review

Flaunting a 5.5-inch display, the iPhone 6 Plus from the outside looks like its 4.7-inch sibling, but it’s packing its own exclusive set of arsenal to set it apart. Taking into consideration that phablets are meant to be bridge devices between the smartphone and tablet, we’re curious to know exactly how the iPhone 6 Plus can deliver in that regard – more so knowing what its rivals have accomplished already. The word “plus” after anything sounds mighty intriguing, so let’s hope there’s a lot of that in this!

I think that the iPhone 6 plus is a great phone, especially if you're invested in Apple's ecosystem. With that said, the only thing that impresses me is the large display. Were I not a Note series user, I'd be more impressed. As it stands, I don't see any notable upgrades from my Note 3. So I'll be waiting until next month for the Note 4.

With that said, since so many reviewers have bashed the Note series in the past for being unwieldy, yet they're now smitten with the iPhone 6 Plus, it'll be interesting to see them backpedal now that the Note 4 has a metal frame and is technologically superior to the iPhone 6 Plus in every category. What some people fail to realize is that the Note series is more than just a big phone. Its size is justified by the S-pen, multitasking, and greatly increased productivity.

All bias aside, what the iPhone 6 Plus does, the Note 4 can too. What the iPhone 6 Plus CAN'T, the Note 4 easily storms along. So, my question is, why? Why does Apple even bother. The Note line is King of the phablet industry. Yes, touchwiz can be laggy or too cartoony, but no denying the power, with functionality.

I noticed that when typing in landscape mode the text starts to become invisible until you turn it back into portrait mode. It's really annoying and hope they fix it soon.

People can trash talk the iPhone all they want. The bottom line is that whatever Apple is doing, they are doing it right. 10 million devices sold speaks for itself. That said I have absolutely nothing against android devices. I will openly admit how awesome the specs are in some of them but I love apple and this bigger screen is just the change I need right now. I am hopeful that Apple releases more specific changes for the plus 5.5 inch screen.

Very good video and review! Something that is very annoying is that when the iPhone is in landscape mode - in the message app - and you want to attach a picture from the Photo Library it opens the photo-app in portrait mode! Even iPhone 6 Plus! This is very frustrating and means that you still have to turn the iPhone to portrait mode to select the picture to attach. Furthermore, you can not select multiple images at once. The strange thing is that the photo app itself is rotating to landscape mode - but why not when to attach pictures to messages?
