NODUS Hifold. Really liked what they were doing. Good design and they didn't skimp on leather quality. I even like the blue aqua color they used. If I had to guess it's probably a full grain shrunken calfskin. Notice they even burnished the interior card slots (edge lines) and reinforced the stress points (stitching.)

A recent trend in many small business crafters; they don't hang around long when artisans are competing with cheap mass manufactured stamp designs. Handcrafting a premium wallet for under $200 is a death knell for the maker. Considering some are an eight hour job to complete, ..it's basically a poverty wage at $200. -$50 in materials, , -$12 site fee, -$2 processing fee, -$10 in shipping, -$5 in packaging = $121 per unit. $121/8hrs crafting time = $15/hr (before taxes.) Craft (and POSSIBLY sell) 28 wallets and that's $3388/month. Which won't even cover rental space or utilities, not to mention basic survival.

So NODUS? Yeah they probably starved to death in some alley in Amsterdam.

I’ve become obsessed with this channel! Keep up the great work! I used an amazing coach bifold for 10 years, and then I switched to the exentri wallet and I really like it, though it’s a bit annoying having my money curled up when I take it out! However, the two quick access card slots are wonderful and so convenient!

I have a question….after your reflection and conversation with the designer would you still pick the Ogon over the groove?

The Franklin is my favorite. And also the topsider mini from open sea leather.

After much deliberation, I decided to go with the Franklin. I was deciding between that, the Big Finn, and the Akeeni XSTO. It was the price that won me over. Thanks for your videos, Mark! They really helped me out.

I just ordered the Groove Life wallet. They have a promo with a free belt 😅. Planning on putting a MagSafe sticker from Amazon on it for grip and to use it with my iPhone. I was team Ekster but i just realized over 5 years I have bought 3 (Parliament (2), and Carbon Fiber (1)). That’s of lot of money. The lifetime warranty for the Groove Life and the optional Leather attachment sold me. Can’t wait for it to arrive next week.

Hi Mark, just thought I'd mention that based on your recommendation of the Nivisto brand I ended up getting their Killara wallet and I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality and value of it. It's just a very standard bifold design but in good kangaroo leather and with high-quality stitching. Thanks so much for the lead!

Great year-end picks review. I can’t do non-leather wallets anymore. Blew out too many pockets!

Love my Akeeni (non air tag version); bought it based off you review!

I just ordered the Groovelife wallet. They now add a small rectangular grip sticker to add to the wallet as an option inside the Case. Pretty cool. It’s textured to match a mountain ridge. Also included is a card with the outline for the sticker. You adjust the placement of the sticker to where your finger will slide up the front plate.

I carried the ekster aluminum for awhile and it's pretty nice but I started to get annoyed by how easily the cards I put in the back aluminum plate would slide around. I never lost any cards as a result luckily but I still decided to switch as the pop up mechanism was also destroying the edges of my cards. I tried the craft & lore port wallet for a few weeks, and while it was really nice, I felt very limited with it (which I guess is the point of more minimalist wallets but still lol). I'm currently carrying the Distil Union Wally Bifold 5.0 that I bought after watching your review on it and I'm loving it. I've seen people complain about the squeeze to open outside pockets being a bit annoying to open, but there's a trick to it. You've gotta squeeze and pull the strap at the same time and it pops open super easily. Very functional leather money clip wallet that I would recommend to a lot of people.

Wow such a great channel with such interesting wallets! I've been searching for days and I still can't find the high capacity wallet I'm looking for though. I have a trifold leather wallet from Wilsons House of Suede and Leather from about 35 years ago. It's the best wallet ever. It has 8 card slots, ID window, zipper pouch, two sleeves underneath the card slot area (so I can hold 10+ cards), and a currency divider. Wilsons now has a similar one, except it doesn't have the zipper pouch anymore. I use the zipper pouch to hold the Airtag so this is very important. (I don't like the wallets that hold the Airtag on the outside to show it off, also not comfortable to have this bulge in the pants pocket). I would be happy with a wallet with fewer card slots (let's say 6 or 8 instead of 10+) but looking for that zipper pouch or Airtag internal storage feature. I'd like to keep the driver's license ID window. Since I keep the wallet for so long... decades... looking for something with fine leather and even if it's only available from a luxury brand, willing to pay a premium price up to $500 or so. A nice wallet is one of those things you keep closest to you at all times... for many years. Do you know of any that fit this description?

Hey Mark! I’ve got a pretty good wallet for you to review if you’re feeling saucy. It’s the Loctote rfid wallet. It’s the only wallet they sell and it’s a pretty slick design. It’s a bifold card wallet with a magnetic closure so it’s similar to the Topologie card wallet but I think I like it more. It’s simple but really secure and satisfying with the magnets. It’s got a little saying on the inside of the wallet that I can appreciate every time I see it!

I have the XSTO, a great wallet, has its limitations, but it doesn't worth $98 at all. The sweet price point should be $50-60 top.

Hoping to see a review of the new Ochre 'The Jump' wallet from you at some point in the future. Would also like to see a review of the 'Big Spender' from Espacio Handmade out of Austin, Tx. Love the channel. Do you prefer the slim version of the Swaddle over the regular version?

Nice rundown. I love the work of Hunter (WillowCraft) and Nate (Lost Dutchman) -- and for non-leather, the Akeeni as well. I think you need LesbianEDC on this list! An entertaining and informative video, as usual. Thanks.
