Tanzania starts trials for electric train

Tanzania's Railway Corporation is testing phase one of the country's first electric train systems. The trains run on an electric standard gauge railway that connects the commercial capital, Dar es Salaam to the city of Morogoro, about 200 kilometers inland. The project will be implemented in five phases and the line will reach Burundi.
