Surprisingly this game is an ancestor of Quest for El Dorado. I didn't know that main mechanism of El Dorado was borrowed probably from this game.

This has shades of Rudiger Dorn's Luxor in that you have multiple things to move around a board and in that each turn is basically a card play. Luxor also has set collection and other stuff going on, but I always enjoyed the simplicity of the movement in that game (simple in terms of execution, but still with interesting decisions).

Great highlight of an older game that i had not heard of. Really like how smooth, simple and fast it plays. The dieal for a race game. Wonder if you all will inspire a reprint as we are in the age if reprints.

You're way overthinking the pronunciation. It's basically just the English word "lemming" with a schwa added to the end. Same syllable stress and everything.
