Something you kind of have to figure out on your own is doing it smoothly, it took me a while but I learned you can use your pointer and middle finger to slide it up your thumb instead of putting your thumb under and lifing it up
I know it's a little confusing but it helped me get it a little smoother and made it feel more comfortable with transitioning back up

Omg this actually really helped, the hard part is actually easy to get the hang of if you just sit and learn that part for like 5-10 mins. I haven’t got it perfect but I can do all the steps I just need to get better.

When I got it I did it in school and my classmates were staring. I was confused I didn't even notice it going faster. They all went silent. I do it all the time now my classmates won't leave me alone 😧:(, the so much this video rlly helped

I started learning this and just mastered this trick. It took me about a day, but something i find helps for beginers is a heavier weighted pen, because a light pen will just fly away from you until you have good technique. Also, find an evenly weighted pen. Not all the weight should be on one side. You can find this out by finding the pen balence point. Set your finger in the middle of the pen, and if the pens balence point is the middle, its even. If you have to go all the way to one side to get it to balence on your finger, dont use that pen.
