Mick Karn, Midge Ure, Pete Townsend, Phil Collins. Japan, Ultravox, The Who, Genesis. The great class !

This show proved what a brilliant and versatile musician Mick Karn was. Still miss him so much, there are days when I suddenly think ‘he’s gone!’ Such a huge loss!

Never seen Karn (legend) Collins, Ure and Townshend together. I never thought it would happen, but it did. Distant worlds that meet in music. Sometimes it happens. Unforgettable Mick Karn

One of these things is not like the other...
Mick looked like a robot vampire from outer space. I love it! Dang he was amazing.

This was a fantastic musical performance, and one the most monumental clashes of wardrobe ever.

The legendary fretless bass of MICK KARN RIP, also love the little wink he gives, 2 someone at side of stage, as if 2 say I got this, awesome

Phil Collins on drums completely changes the version of this iconic song. Notice how Collins puts the focus on the down-beat, he focuses on the groove. He accents on parts that are not in the song (originally). This gives Pete Townshend more time to focus on the versus and the chorus. You can tell that Townshend is on Collins in the beginning to the play parts they worked out in rehearsal. Simon Phillips was the drummer on the original version, both Collins and Phillips play left-handed. Phil Collins, completely shifts the song to his strengths, creating a different sonic attack. It totally works live with this band. I admire how Phil Collins plays the song as he feels it live, versus trying to mimic Simon Phillips. Two different drummers, two different outcomes. I love both versions.

To be honest, I never really cared for this song. But then I heard Mick Karn play bass on it, and now I love it! RIP Mick

Good to see Phil rockin' out like this, he shoulda done it more often. This is one instance where an all-star lineup really came up with the goods!

Kind of wish we could hear Phil Collins on vocals too. That would be outstanding!
