Not only do the memories I share with this game mean a lot to me.

But you guys who feel the same as I do when I listen to these songs. You guys mean a lot to me too.

Knowing theres so many people who get this same feeling that hurts and feels so good at the same time.

It really just makes it feel like it was our home. Even if we were on different worlds. We shared the same memories. Maybe once, we passed each other.

Just for a moment, and never thought that we'd want to see that guy again, years later.

So to all of you who read this. I hope your life is going well, and you can cherish things like this again. Make new memories. But never forget where we all started. <3

If Nexon ever rereleases classic maple story pre-bb with all the original patches/features (with updated security) I would instantly hop back into the game. EDIT: 3 years later... My comment aged well.

This song recalls memories of my younger self, straight out of 7th grade, playing this quest all night. We had just moved, I had no desk, my computer was just on the floor, forcing me to sit like a hunched shrimp or lay flat on the floor.
Didn't stop me though. I still see myself staying up until sunrise, grinding out this quest for EXP with dozens of other players that I had met along the way. That entire summer was spent just leveling my character; a mere Evan, probably the weakest class back in 2010. It didn't matter to my parties though; we had one common goal, to grow stronger together. And grow stronger we did.
This is more than just a song; it's a journey in audio form. And unfortunately, all journeys come to an end eventually. All that remains are the experiences and memories we shared together.
And to think this all happened within the span of a couple months. Really goes to show that it's not the years in your life that matter, it's the life in your years.
We've all grown old now, and the adventure is long over. But that's all the more reason to embark on a new one.

This song. Maplestory in general... full of lullabies from an earlier period in all of our lives... it captures and encapsulates a period of time we may never get back. Even a different era for the internet. A time when people had the time and patience to sit down and grind in an MMORPG. Make friends, and go on adventures with friends. That was before fast-paced social media took over. I'd even argue that we're going through a post-social media burnout phase right now. I miss these days. Maplestory was so wonderful, and mysterious. A giant, slow-played adventure. It really reminds me of my childhood. Back when I had the time, patience, and enthusiasm to watch anime and stuff. I don't have that enthusiasm anymore, unfortunately. I feel like while I am looking back on time through rose tinted glasses and being nostalgic, there's a truth to the fact that kids today don't have it as good as we did back then when it came to games. Just as we probably didn't have it as good as kids before us... in a strange way society seems to go more and more downhill as time goes on. But it's not reflected in statistics, and so you're either shut down or brushed aside when you mention it.

Getting to be a part of MapleStory in its early growing years, experiencing third job was pretty fantastic, Zakum was a lot of fun to get through with my guild, doing Guild Party Quest was also a lot of fun.

I started the game ever since it first came out and before 3rd job was even a thing. This was the best music at that point, and still is in my opinion.
