Wow, that woman that performed the trick was one of the nicest and most invested "guest trick performers" on the show. She's a natural!

What I love about Scam School is that it doesn't just teach you the trick, it teaches you to think like a magician.

When Brian asks what the trick was, I immediately knew it was in the way the bill was crumpled. Maybe a small secret fold in the corner, or a pointy edge on the crumple. And I've done this a few times now where I know what is happening, just not exactly how it is happening.

I think there was a tiny Matt Smith inside the fez and he handed him the right dollar lol

i think he either crumples the paper more or less than anyone else so that he can feel for the smaller one

I didn't think ball bearing myself, but I did suspect that he marked it with a weight or texture of some sort. By texture, he could have a small bit of tape gently put on his finger. Then when he does the crumple move he could transfer the tape to the bill.

Later when he searches for the bill in the hat he finds the tape texture and pulls that bill out while transferring the tape back to the finger. Then it's an easy matter of handing the bill over to the person with the hand without the tape, while the hand with the tape does something like brush it away with your pants.

I honestly thought that the hat was what was squirrely... And I'm a magician! Great trick, but I have now stolen it. Mwah ha haha!!!
