2025 NASCAR Schedule Dates and RUMORS

Mexico and NASCAR will be a paired entity next year for NASCAR's first international NASCAR Cup Series points race in a long time and first overall international Cup race since the late 90s in Japan. Along with this major news there is a bit of a rumor mill still be stirred while other people and tracks just putting out there and confirming the dates during the season for numerous different tracks scattered throughout 2025. I’m all for international expansion. Starting in Mexico when the only international driver full time in Cup now is Mexican is a very strong start. As a diehard Canadian fan, I do hope we get a race up here too eventually.

Cup/XFS in Mexico City
IndyCar in St. Louis
F1 in Montreal
WEC in France (24hrs Le Mans)

Moving Mexico from June 8 rumored date to June 15 was actually a big blow. It kills the possibility of a Pato O'Ward Project 91 entry.

3:12 Yes, us Canadian fans need a race VERY soon as well! We have 2 tracks that are ready & quite capable of hosting a Cup race (CTMP & Montreal). Our fan base might be small, but there is a passionate group of fans up here, that continues to grow! Plus, CTMP sold out the Truck race every year & I bet Montreal did the same with Xfinity.

As someone who lives around Pittsburgh, it would be great to see Nascar in my backyard. The problem with that is traffic and potholes. Potholes are everywhere in Pittsburgh. Very difficult to go anywhere and not be sawing on the wheel of the car avoiding potholes. Traffic is another issue. As it is, there is a lot of traffic in Pittsburgh. If you add in a Nascar race, that will only cause things to get worse. Would be super cool to see, but pretty difficult.

I'm iffy about NASCAR ever running a street circuit in Baltimore. INDYCAR did and there was one MAJOR issue:
The railroad crossing that was on the frontstretch. It tore up a lot of cars. If you don't believe me, search for the 2012 SRT Grand Prix of Baltimore right here on YouTube. They talk about it during the pre race show. They'd have to put lift kits on the cars to safely cross the train tracks. If NASCAR ran the Inner Harbor layout that INDYCAR used

please get SOMETHING in Denver, I hope SMI can buy Pikes Peak, it’s similar to Iowa, and Pikes Peak, and the rockies as a whole as a backdrop, doesn’t get better. or that the City would finally build that intermediate-superspeedway track. they’ve talked about it for 20 years now. or lower series at Dacono.

I’m surprised with them adding another road course to the schedule that they are keeping the Charlotte roval. But I’m glad after years of talks of international expansion that it’s finally starting. Hopefully Canada is next. As far as the next street course location, San Diego would be a phenomenal setting for nascar. Also somewhat fills that LA area void temporarily

Great content mate, just one thing about street courses for nascar. American cities are built for grids, there aren’t many curvy/interesting road courses that you could make with wider roads because of the grids. Now a solution to this could be to use an Indycar street course that might be suitable for nascar. Maybe Long Beach or Indy Toronto they want to reach a Canadian base of fans. Just a thought, great video!
