Siege attack mode is live for 48 hours and after 12 days of preparation its time to see what we are facing. Whilst there was much detail provided on the siege its still hard to understand all its complexities until you experience it for yourself. Lets take a look at what awaits us in the second phase of Clan Wars....

Got home from work 10 hours after the siege started and went to do my battles. We were matched against a weak opponent in tier-5 for some reason. There were no attacks left. We wiped the board before 6 members of the clan even got a chance to attack.

ESTABLISH A RULE WHERE EVERYONE ONLY DOES ONE ATTACK ON THE FIRST

The six of us will now miss out on any rewards because we neither had a successful attack or defense! I cant believe that even though I came in and did the Mana Shrine re-Battles, the only thing left to me, I wont get a single reward.

Saph, small clan here. I like how it's set for battle. A better way to communicate with clan members is needed though. The strategy for lower-level clans can be approached in many ways especially when you can only use your best champions twice. I know you are looking at this from high level clans but having seen how it's playing out live I'm actually looking forward to the next war and will be better able to direct my clan members. Keep that wonderful big brain of yours churning out content, always love it.

In the siege my clan participated in, it was over fairly quickly.

There were a lot of non-defended posts. My three battles were all wins-- 2 non-defended, 1 defended.

And that was it. Maybe 2 minutes total.

It is interesting to see how you (and other hardcore players) engage this. While I agree Siege requires a lot of Clan Coordination IF YOU WANT TO PLAY IT OPTIMAL, you don't have to and most clans wont.

For example, my clan refused (haha) to do any preparation and half of the clan didn't even participate AT ALL. But same goes for our opponent and therefore we already managed to destroy their Stronghold using the attacks of about 10-15 people only 🙂

We were matched with a clan that has 420m player power. Ours has 290m, but a lot of that in concentrated in some players that have 20-30m. There's almost 10 players under 5m. Our opponent has a 10m minimum requirement.

We were all in discord excited to participate and do a small share. We couldn't do anything. We're not getting rewards either. Our defences got rolled as well. Our good players are doing decent, but it feels like I'm there for moral support.

This mode rewards clans for having ALL whales. This will create a rift in clans no longer wanting to help lower level players grow.

I love the concept of optimizing an army. Use the weak to defeat the weak and wisely save your best for stronger battles. I realize that newer players can't function with it but I would enjoy having more defenses, and more attacks but also require a unique team each time.

I think this first siege has been also of fun, it’s been fun to talk with my clan and watch them attack the enemy! I wish you could watch replays of fights though

I think after the buildings are upgraded, the number of attacks required will increase and the 90 atk scrolls and 90 rematch scrolls will be good to have. It might be looking high now but might seem decent as we have more siege tourneys.

We have been matched with a pretty easy low level clan which hasn't given us any problems with our siege however one problem i found was if the mana shrines are undefended your clan can't re-attack it to win extra orbs this could be quite nasty for those who need orbs for upgrades and donations. This could create all clans using a tactic of leaving both mana shrines undefended to prevent attackers from earning mana rewards during their siege battles

On the system: Cool in general. The prep Phase could be a bit shorter, the battle phase longer. We were really worried to get enough players to attack haha

It’s still a lot for me and I lost a lot of the manna shrines. I tried to figure out the rematch scrolls but someone took the post after I lost. You did good helping SOS4 with the defensive strats you mentioned

Plarium should allow clan members to watch replays of how they were attacked. It would be fun to see weakness in your own as well as clans teams.

This is a mess and will cause many players to say it's not worth it. The low levels in my clan dumped all their teams in the stronghold and towers 5 and 4. Left so much open that the opponent walked right through. Granted our opponent had a 2 to 1 favorable power ratio.

As a clan leader, it was a bit simpler than expected. A few adjustments for leader viewing when setting it up before the start would be nice. Our matchup was an equal, we suck at CVC so we got a sucky opponent. Half the clan played, the other half is in cyberspace still. A few tweaks and this mode can be ok for all.

Our plan was to put our strongest players in the Stronghold and Mana Shrines and work out from there. Psychology says that the big players will jump in first to take the low level positions and waste their scrolls leaving the more important positions to the lower level players. Most clans aren't that organized and krakens who never join chat will do whatever they want to do. So far it's working. Our Stronghold and mana Shrines are secure.

I honestly think this game mode is a waste of time. I'll try it again next week when theres better matchmaking and now its a it clearer on how it all works. But, to me its a whole lot dev time spent on something thats almost impossible to co-ordinate, to complex, too obscure, too niche and honestly... not fun. Its just a blinded, resource limited version of PvP. I've already told my clan that if we find ourselves in the same position next week, we're just not playing it at all, cos thats the only way Plarium will hear any feedback. Maybe top clans feel different. But most of the player base ain't up there and ain't about that life. At the end of the day, this is at its core meant to be a mobile game. Thats my two cents, people are welcome to disagree with it.

Our clan got matchet with a clan who could not beet any of our defends, fun for us but must be sad for the other clan

Regarding the first tier of defense... Its good to have rather good teams there too because You can only use one champ in 2 attack battles. After that You cant use the champ no matter If there are conditions or not. So making enemy use its Best champs in the start could mean he has not so good ones for the shrines and stronghold
