Glad to see Nintendo keeping up the classic tradition of giving stuff their audiences want, but with a catch .

Considering the NES one is essentially a Joy-Con with an NES shell, that makes it the only official Joy-Con variant to not suffer stick drift

He doesn't mention that the N64 controller also has built-in rumble, and not HD rumble it's more like the intense rumble of older controllers, likely mimicking the N64 rumble pak

Side note: Mario 3D Allstars was updated to support the NSO N64 controller for Mario 64, exact layout and all. . .

. . .half a year after the game was delisted.

The biggest benefit to these controllers is that you are not restricted to just using them on switch hardware i use my SNES nso controller more on my TV (Google TV) to play SNES games via retroarch. I also use my N64 NSO controller on a real N64 via a bluetooth adapter and a everdrive.

The NES controllers are cool but the Famicom ones are even better purely for the fact that the second player controller has a working microphone.
Also the Mega Drive controller released in Japan is the 6 button one rather than the 3 buttoned Genesis one we got, we missed out big.

Bought TWO Japanese six-button Mega Drive controllers when I went to Nintendo Osaka during my Japan trip. I REALLY wish they would allow us to choose which variant of controller we want.

I always look forward to a Scott's Stash upload, it's like your buddy coming over to talk to you about Nintendo games!

For the NSO SNES controller, R and ZR at the same time presses the home button, and L and ZL does the capture button.

I took a trip to Japan and picked up the Super Famicom controller from Nintendo's store in Tokyo. I told the guy who rung me up that the Super Famicom was my first system, and that we call it the "Super Nintendo" back in the states. He was blown away the Super NES controller had purple buttons.

It's really funny to me to think about Scott gaving this recorded for months and deciding to release it now because of the new app

Crazy how in the same day this video gets posted Nintendo adds their music as an app to be bundled with all of this

The SNES controllers were good for multiplayer games, they not only work with SNES games but they also work with some N64 games like Mario Kart and Yoshi’s Story! I kind of use the GameCube style controllers for 3D games like Goldeneye 007 and Banjo Kazooie, the Switch has made N64 games playable with many different controllers than ever!

9:52 is just so real. Love that was kept in the final video.

I have the SNES controller and it’s a blast to use in 2D games. I got it at a flea market for 10 bucks and easily the best deal I’ve gotten on a controller

I actually played the entire Mario RPG remake with a SNES controller, and I got to say, it really made the experience that much more nostalgic.

Nearly a decade of Scott’s Stash uploads, and we still haven’t seen Scott’s Stache. 🤔

3:21 there is a very simple and straight forward reason for this decision. it helps with the logistics, AND it creates an opportunity to convert people into new subscribers. if someone really wanted these and was willing to be a subscriber for a month to be able to order, there is a non zero chance that they would forget to or decide not to cancel.

3:23 Scott, we already knew you owned these before you posted this video. No one had to ask
