Nikon D80 Err Message how can i resolve

My D80 nikon has an ERR message that doesn't go away even if i cleaned the lens.

Shutter box failure The D80 is notorious for this problem. Fails after about 2500 or so shutter cycles. Only fix is to have it serviced at an authorized Nikon service shop.

I had this shit too. I reseted my camera and it worked again! Maybe is can solve the problem for you as well

well the Nikon 1J5 is on par with my D90 with the ERR message and I feel scared for the price because they recommended me the J5 but less botchy I see in the Marks

I see many Nikon DSLRs with this problem. I believe the Canon brand is much more durable. I never experienced this with any Canon DSLR.📸📸👍

Well, all i can say is oof.
Buuut my dad's camera is weirder, when i press the shutter butt when it shows "err", it goes back to normal, and randomly does that.
Recently those errors are much frequent, when i started using my dad's camera 2 years ago it was fine (and he got it way before that, he said it is around 10 years old now).

It’s the shutter mechanism that doesnt work anymore.I have the same problem.You better bring it to Nikon service center

i have same issue maybe nikon releases defective cameras. almost 5 months from now since i bought mine. nikon sucks!
