Here’s what I would get at Arby’s as a registered dietitian! #shorts

If you find yourself in a situation where you must have Arby’s for a meal (maybe you’re on a road trip) here’s what I would suggest that would be the most nutritious and blood sugar friendly options available.

1. Half pound roast beef sandwich - 48g protein, 30g of fat, lower the carb load by chucking half of the bun, and it’s at least a solid amount of protein.
2. 9 premium nuggets - 38g protein, only 23g fat, the carb count’s relatively low in the mid-20s. You could also just consider getting a 4 pack of nuggets as a snack. I would honestly say this is probably the best thing on the menu from a nutrient standpoint.
3. Ham, egg, cheese sourdough sandwich - If you are there for breakfast this sammie has 26g protein, 18g fat, does have 47g carbs so consider nixing half the bread there as well.

As much as they are known for their curly fries, I would nix the fries and skip the shakes.

It’s not a top option that I would pick, but if it happens to be the place where you are, you can certainly make it more blood sugar friendly.
