All they want is 6% rise per year, and VTA found that "not reasonable"? While the cost of living in the area is skyrocketing, this shy 6% just barely covers rent increase alone, it's not a rise - it's inflation compensation... The only thing, that many people have monthly passes, and VTA management do not use VTA for commute - they don't care about out of service at all
But thousands of riders affected, mostly the same poor people like these guys, so I would might reduce service dramatically, but keep few "emergency" bus lines, not total shutdown, while it not affect VTA management at all, just others fellows like you are...
