Manjummel Boys is a 2024 Indian Malayalam-language survival thriller film written and directed by Chidambaram, and produced by Parava Films. The film stars an ensemble cast, which includes Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Lal Jr., Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar, Shebin Benson, and Vishnu Reghu. Based on a true incident from 2006, the film revolves around a group of friends from a small town called Manjummel near Kochi, who decide to have a vacation in Kodaikanal. #malayalam

The fact that Manjummel Boys and Premalu are collecting good money outside Kerala is so satisfying. Been getting frustrated when other language movies were minting money from our theatres. I feel our makers and producers have finally figured out how to reach the right content to the right audience. I feel this kind of wide releases outside kerala should have started way long back. Bramayugam, even after getting great response, did not reach the non- malayali audience even aftr having made the dubbing versions.

1) Item song showing friends dancing.
2) A short love story before going to the trip.
3) Heroin will be crying thinking of Subhash stuck in the caves..
4)Shirtless muscle men pulling the ropes..
5) To be more cinematic, there will be a Ghoat or a beast.
6) Hero jumping into the cave without a rope.

And what not, please add more😮

I got Goosebumps while hearing your thoughts about this film coz I am a Malayalee. You should have mention the name Ajayan Chalissery who is the Art Director of this movie. After this real incident in 2006, Guna cave is a strictly prohibited area. The Director, Art Director and Cinematographer went inside with special permission and they made that cave in kochi exactly like that one. We can't see anywhere an artificial rock in the film. Thats the brilliance. I think he should get a national award for his art work 👍🏻👏🏻. And another point about this film is the naturality in the dialogues and dialogue deliveries. Both Malayalam and Tamil. Everything to the top perfection 🤩

Manjummel Boys is poised to become the top-grossing film in Malayalam cinema history, and I'm thrilled that it's also considered the best film from Mollywood. In many industries, it's not always the best movies that rake in the most revenue.

Any other industry would replace Soubins charecter with a big star and the heroic decisions he makes would be more of "in your face" kind of heroic dialogues. Instead, malayalam industry chose the charecter to say " i will go down the cave " shakingly and scared.
