How to Install a Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel

In this video, I install a custom made carbon fibre steering wheel. I got it made and it is an OEM Honda steering wheel, that was taken apart, re-done with carbon, and restitched the leather with red stitching aswell, all by Carbon Fiber Element.

looks f*cking really really really nice the carbon was a good choice and the red stitching was a really nice touch. Wrapping the centre of the dash in carbon would tie it all together. Very Nice steering wheel... the only thing throwing off the whole look is the chrome Honda badge... You should dip it matte black or a different color... I dipped my Acura badge on my steering wheel with matte black and it looks sick!

You should repaint the whole red trim next. Or maybe water transfer printing? You can get the same texture as the carbon fiber on the steering wheel.

i work at a honda dealership and we do airbag recalls everyday. but we're nowhere near as cautious as u we just disconnect the power and ground then take out the airbag and swap it

Wow. Mine is quite a bit different. It has no bottom piece to get the airbag connector off. Just too screws on the side, then take the airbag cover out and THEN you can disconnect it. After that it has a 17mm non standard bolt that you have to completely remove and then the steering wheel pops off. And you don't even have to make sure it's totally centered, because the bolt is designed in a way that you can only put it back on the same way the old one was removed. It's always going to be straight.
Much easier than in the Honda.
