The U.S. Constitution gives the president and the Senate this vital role. Article II, Section 2, clause 2 states that the President “shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint ... Judges of the Supreme Court.”

Threatening to block a nominee and actually following through with it are two different cases, in addition to the fact that Schumer, Reid, and Biden never threatened to block hearings, where McConnell has done so.

Yes, Trump gets his Conservative Judge, but it's not the end. Congress decides the number of Supreme Court Judges. If the mix of nine are not deciding your way just add more judges.
