Please be advised that THIS VIDEO WAS MADE IN JUNE 2016 from an IGN PREVIEW VIDEO, so before you ask "YO DUDE HOW COME YOU'VE GOT THE HERO'S TUNIC BUT YOU DIDN'T FINISH THE PLATEAU" or "DUDE STOP JUMPING AROUND I CAN BARELY HEAR IT", please check the upload date :P

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:

By cutting out the gaps, it's clear that the Song of Time is slowly playing in the background while Link explores the ruined temple in Breath of the Wild.

If you play the video at 2x speed it's closer to the normal speed.

Poetic how the song of time used to be known through the land appreciated. but now it’s broken, incomplete…gone

the fact that the song of time plays in the background when you're near the temple of time adds so much atmosphere to the game. it's such a necessary touch for that scene to be more melancholic. if there would have been no music or just environmental sounds only or another song was playing, it wouldn't have had the same effect. i love little details like this.

Even Link sounds more calm compared to the Past.

Just listening to this lets people know how weathered down Hyrule is compared to what it used to be.

... Wait, there's a ladder to climb to the roof?! I had been climbing the broken front this entire time!

Go to the youtube detail settings and set the speed to x2.

Tbh you have to REALLY know the song of time before you can realize it. But when you play at 2x speed and listen very closely its playing just a bit slow and the piano keys can be a bit misleading but its there.

The destruction these machines caused... the way they tore the temple apart and left it to sit for 100 years... I legit cried seeing the condition of Hyrule.

For those of you who aren't hearing it clearly, turn your speed up to 2. The most notable parts are around 20-25 seconds and 47 seconds - 1 minute c:

The slow music and how beaten down the temple is... it’s haunting.

Koji Kondo's ability to recontextualize familiar melodic themes in ways that compliment the setting and narrative themes of different Zelda games actually fucks me up. I wonder if this soundtrack will be as thoughtful as Majora's Mask's.

Took a couple of listens but damn it is indeed! The music in this game is going to be insane!

I hate how the kokori are just everywhere and even interrupting such beautiful views, it’s just so annoying to hear their propeller fly while trying to enjoy a great view

I thought I was crazy for thinking I was hearing this hidden in there. Guess I was correct.

But imagine if this came out and Joe Hisaishi turned out to be the composer!!

Listen carefully to the highest notes in the piano. The melody is of course more disjunct and the chords more colorful and spaced apart but the Song of Time is 100% there.

Love this game. The only thing i thought was missing was good Hyrule Field music. Riding my horse through an open field with no heroic music felt so un-Zelda
