Jewish Caviar H264
Показать описание
The pre-war Jewish population of Poland was nearly wiped out by the Holocaust, but this doesn't stop the Roman Catholics of Krakow from putting on the biggest celebration of Jewish Culture in the World every year, where Jewish acts play to a largely gentile audience a mere forty miles from Auschwitz. We follow Jewish writer, Robin Hemley as he eats and dances his way through the festival, interviewing the festival's founder, a well-known poet, an artist who photographs desecrated Jewish tombstones, a sociologist, an anti Semitic cab driver, a famous cantor, and festival-goers. While at first he feels the festival is largely motivated by collective guilt and little else, his appreciation and understanding grow as he navigates the murky waters of Authenticity and ownership.
