It’s no coincidence that Hong Kong is Cantonese for fragrant harbor. The city was the epicenter of the incense trade in ancient times. Agarwood incense is a treasured commodity today. Harvested from aquilaria trees, it smells like a cross between nutty wood and sweet vanilla. It’s pricey. Customers pay more than $60,000 for roughly a pound of quality agarwood, according to Wah Yuen. He has been selling incense for 70 years and hand rolls each stick in his shop. It’s a tradition that is at risk of being lost as older people die and incense is produced in factories.

Btw, "Hong Kong" doesn't just mean "Fragrant Harbor".

"Hong Kong" can also literally mean "Incense Harbor", since "香" means both fragrance and incense.

Can you not say this video is "inspired" by your sponsor? Unless they literally gave you the idea about this specific story, they didn't inspire anything. Just call it what it is. Sponsoring.

It's the result of a lifetime of hard work. There is a Korean proverb. "The result does not betray the effort." GOOD!!!!

Agarwood is the same as 'Oud' that is used in Arab culture and nowadays by some high-end fragrance manufacturers.

Arab's use it in two ways. The first is the wood itself placed into a special ceramic/metal container on top of some coal, to create the scented smoke. The second way is by extracting the oil from the wood and storing it in small glass containers to be used on the body and on clothing. It can also be diluted and used as a furniture spray or as an air freshener.
