NFC is interesting me as I recently found out that one can buy a ring to wear, (Metal, waterproof etc.) that one can use to unlock the phone. So in the ring's locality the phone works as normal, but out of local area the phone will not open. This seems to me like it has an anti-theft use, one would have to steal ring as well. The ring does not need charging and one can set a secondary code (swipe) for example which would prevent any use. This means that NFC will be a very important function in future. - Just a thought. Xiaomi is on a good roll at the moment with phones - except the Alpha price! (One could buy a house in some countries for that price!)

Current UK prices are Note 7 4GB Ram & 128GB for £165 or Note 8 4GB Ram & 64GB for £185. Assuming the 8 is the way to go? Only just discovered Xiaomi/Redmi and like what I see.

Do you think that the Redmi note 7 pro is still better? The Redmi note 7 pro price is the exactly the same for the 6gb 128gb storage option. I'd guess that the camera is also better on the Redmi note 7 pro due to the Sony sensor plus it has the slightly faster processor
