You forgot mapuches, they confronted the thirds off ARAUCO or "tercios de arauco" of spain Empire, which was the navy seals of that era. The war lasted centuries and they got an peace agreement with spain because it was a never ending war with so much blood for each side

I dont understand why Franco is like "bad". With Franco Spain was de 8th industrial power in the world, when Franco died and we became in a democratic country Spain lost all status we got with Franco. The second republi was the worst thing that happened in Spain.... they killed all people that was not into socialist and communist ideas (Francisco Largo Caballero a.k.a "The spanish Lenin", Santiago Carrillo, Manuel Azaña, etc).

In fact before Franco´s intervention Spain has the civil war, and Franco decided to join because socialist/communist killed Calvo Sotelo because they couldn´t accept other kind of thoughts.

Hey I'm sorry as a spaniard I'm glad Napoleon got rid of the kings that destroyed the Spanish empire, and the bourbons were tyrants and a pain.

I didn't understand why the Peninsular War was negative.
( as for Franco's dictatorship, a communist regime in Spain would have been much worse, it deserve a " more or less reaction " 😂)
