7 years ago a voice in me said when you pray to God you pray to yourself. I told only one person. He agreed. However, I let the thought go and could not pray much because the God in the sky seemed silly. I come from a praying family who
I feel did not see much prayers being answered so I stopped praying. They said the prayers helped but I did not see success or healing on a grand scale. I saw peace and contentment with mediocrity. I feel stuck in mediocrity for the last 10 years and that type of prayer does not help that. I want to get back to the truth. It feels better to me to know when I pray I'm building my own spirit up. I think I'll start by saying God in me remove the mental blocks to success or something like that.

I grew up in a traditional Muslim household. Like many religious groups, prayer was "begging" God. It was a game of guessing. Will God or won't He? I eventually realized this was silly. Doesn't faith mean I ALREADY believe that what I want is true? Why would I need to convince God to give me something as if I was not worthy? Wasn't having faith in God enough to know my wish was granted. I went into the Quran and it says when God decreed the creation of anything he says "Be and it is". Now this was the secret to creation! When you want something, will it! Know that you have it! A secret that many don't want you to know and a secret Rev. Ike and Mystics of the past knew. I realized I was raised around people who wanted to keep me down or simply didn't know better. I was held behind by religious doctrines. I give thanks for Rev Ike and the likes of him.
