So I Debated Kent Hovind in-person at Dinosaur Adventure Land...

You read that correctly. I was on a road trip when subscriber Tyler West suggested I stop by Kent Hovind's Dinosaur Adventure Land in Alabama, and I decided to go for it and drop by for a surprise, unplanned visit. It ended up being one of the strangest days of my life, and culminated in this debate at the Genesis Baptist Church. Enjoy!

This is the debate. I think there is nothing more you can get out of debating Kent, much respect and admiration for you. He was basically reduced to asking "couldn't it have been the other way?" just for you to then explain why why it wouldn't be likely at all. He had no valid counterpoints. Somehow he declared himself as the winner but that is neither here nor there. Very well done!

Contrary to some of the comments ive seen i think what you did here was amazing. You so far are the only person ive seen be able to refute Kent's endless absurd counter arguments without resorting to "you don't understand science" and basically calling him stupid which in my opinion is much more effective at reaching his audience and letting them know he really isnt qualified to be discussing these topics and very eye opening
Kent was already fading out of existence and i believe this will be the final nail in his coffin that he essentially handed you

I've listened to many people "debate" Kent only to find themselves befuddled by his ignorance and insistence to lie about what science claims. I'm half way through and I can tell this is very different. I can't wait to finish the rest of this!

At around 48 mins, Kent demonstrates that he doesn’t know the difference between a prokaryotic and a eukaryotic cell. That is, he seems to thinks the first cell had a nucleus. But, more importantly, Grayson has done really well here, putting forward, and amply defending, evidence-based positions on the origin of the Universe / life. Bravo!

I've been watching ken and people debating him for years and I thought you knocked this out of the park. You answered all his "they never answer these questions we never see these things" questions as far as dating the layers, new star formation, where the layers come from, transition fossils, what's shown in school and why and so much more then to see him just say "ok" and move on or "we'll save that for another debate" which is what he says when he's stumped was so much fun to watch. Even though you've answered all these questions with real science to the best of your ability he'll still go on with the same script "Atheist never answer this question" or saying he'll look into to something that he obviously never looks into. Outstanding job sir!

Bonus note: I love how at the end of the video when Kent was advertising DAL and wanted to say "No one gets hurt" but had to stop himself lol
