My 2008 has 117k and started using penzoil high millage full syntetic 5w30 and NO oil burning at all after 6 months of intervals with 3000 millage. I guess my emgine was made in Japan with the right calibrared pistón rings it runs really fast! Not even an inch on oil down in the deepstick.

I enjoy your videos and I'm glad you're producing more of them. I have a 2011 Rav4 2.5L and it is a bit different than the one in the video. It uses a cartridge filter rather than the spin on oil filter. I think it changed in 2009 with the 2.5L but you can verify that.

whats the tool you used to take out the oil filter? i have a hard time getting a grip on those with my hand. you made it look so easy

My ‘08 RAV has the same “oil burner” engine. Bought the car couple years ago and, for the first oil change, I used 0W-20. Checked the oil level once a week after that and it was using a lot! I kept adding oil as needed until the next change at which time I switched to 5W-20; has not lost/burned oil since then. Guess the 2AZ-FE prefers the slightly more viscous oil?

Just a tip, It's a good idea to fill your oil filter as much as you can before putting it in place. But thanks for the detailed video 👍

Put a slurpee cup under the filter to spin off, no mess.

I work at a Toyota dealership now and it's crazy how much oil is still is the engine I get cars with like 1.5 qts in it and it takes 4.6 qts

Dude, draining oil when the car is not level (only the front lifted) prevents some used/burnt oil from draining.

i have a 07 rav4 with I4 as i see including manual says you add the wrong oil
