The love for the craft shown in this video Is unmatched.
Slow and steady precision is obviously the name of the game here....

Great video. I just love these magical swamps of Vietnam, full of discarded Rolexes, Pateks and an occasional China made junker. I was such an idiot spending all the money I spent on watchmaking tools. All I needed was a stainless steel pan, some water, soap and a $15 watch repair kit from Ebay.
What I REALLY don't understand is the comment section of these videos where people actually think this is real. God help us. The watch he's "restoring" here is worth less than a stick of rodico. Great channel! Subscribed.

Very funny. I laughed my ass off when you said; «hairspring, just give it a pull!»

I've seen so many of these. Watches, phones, burnt laptops, you name it. It's so hilarious, and these guys sure get the views and subscribers for their little shows.

I'm not mad that he gets millions of views. I'm mad that people buy this nonsense.

I am NOT a watch maker but I DO know that the mechanics of a watch is very delicate stuff... I was laughing like a child watching the video and listening to the comments. Wonderful stuff.

That is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Defo not legit! Defo two watches used in the making of that video. Your running commentary was hilarious. I'm glad to learn that sarcasm is alive n kickin' in the Netherlands! You can't pull that guy up for over oiling his jewels! Nice one! Others will enjoy!!

I like how it's been laying in the ground exposed to the harsh elements for years, probably decades, yet there isn't a single scratch on the glass.

I just discovered your channel and my problem is....that I have to wake up for work in the morning, as I'd ended up watching all of your videos. Great job, sir! Greetings from Slovakia!

I'm just surprised that it didn't say Rolex on it once it was finally finished.

No oil anywhere. No need to check the amplitude. Lol. Absolutely hilarious

They usually do a reverse order video. So they get the thing new and shoot that part first. Then they throw it in the muck. Then they "fix " it. Obviously the fixed one is completely broken and doesn't work, but they have the video of when they first got it brand new so they pop that up and it looks like they did an amazing job.

Actually I learned more from the comments picking apart this restoration video than I do from watching legit restorations.

Remarkably steady hands for someone who must be pissing himself laughing.

What I think? That case at 4:10 is old/damaged and the one at 16:58 looks shining like new. This makes no sense. He used a new watch. Maybe he used even three watches.
One damaged watch for the tear down.
A second watch to rebuild the watch.
A third watch to show the result.

This does show how popular watch repair videos have become, so much so that idiots are faking them.
