Thinking of buying the launch x431 pro3s + smartlink heavy duty. $99-$200 isn't bad at all snap on matco charge $1, 300 for software updates and no matter what you will never own the software that's how those companies make there money on the small guy just my thought.

I'm glad I found this video. I just bought an XTool D9 - got it yesterday - and got an offer from Amazon for this Launch. I was seriously considering changing but couldn't even find a price for renewing data service after the first year. I've decided I'll stick with the XTool!
I have a friend who has several Bobcats and other heavy equipment and that was the reason I was interested in changing to this Launch. I'll look at the FCAR F507 for scanning heavy trucks and equipment or something else. Thanks!

I was looking at getting one of these tools. Its primary for Cummins engine. I only have one machine running a Cummins but it's not in a truck. What would you recommend

did you get this from Launch or someone like Cornwell or nappa? Because I've seen 100s of comments on amazon and many dozens of youtube videos saying that the tablet only does 4-6 different bi directional functions. I ask because there is a Launch China copy cat brand and your tablet IS red the chines launch tablets are grey. ( Launch USA is made in china BUT different)

This is misleading, there is a big diference between the two. Not only its bigger and much faster, octacore and 7000mha battery, pro 3S + has 16 special functions vs 12 on the mini, on "other modules" pro has 14 mini only 3, mini doesnt have videoscope or support TPMS T-gun, it doesnt even support Iveco, and others. I think its also doesnt support remote connections but not sure This and other things plus the updated powerful hardware is worth it by itself. With the mini in 2 years of updates its gonna be slow as hell and you ll have to buy another one, with the pro even in 10 years it will probably run fine with much bigger RAM and better processor, also much more responsive.
