How to read in Hieroglyphics the Full Name of Ramses the Great? Ramesses II, commonly known as Ramesses the Great, is often regarded as the greatest, most celebrated, and most powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom. He is also widely considered one of ancient Egypt's most successful warrior pharaohs, conducting no fewer than 15 military campaigns.
In official documents and on monuments, the full title of the Egyptian king consisted of five names, each preceded by one of the following titles: Horus, Two Ladies, Golden Horus, King of Upper and Lower Egypt, and Son of Re.
Here we read the two main names of Ramses II: the birth name and the coronation name.

Uhhhh Nope. Totally wrong translation! Is this some kind of a joke? NO ONE in the community that studies ancient Egypt (much less Ramesses II) translate his throne name as, "He is the established power of the sun, and selected by light"! This dude must be a guide or tourist but is definitely not an egyptologist. How embarrassing for the producers of this video to be spitting out such blantantly false information. It's just flat out wrong!
