I think the sharks bite is too good to be true, because its teeth are designed to slice, not crush.

In the early 2000s there was a salt water croc that was measured clear as day at 4, 750 PSI. That was 15 years ago and at that time scientists said there was a larger croc they were trying to measure but never found him. They claimed it could have been well over 5000 PSI. Great white at that time was 2, 800 PSI so you're off on your top two. They should be switched.

Actually, jaguars' bite has been recently measured as 2000 psi, making it the strongest among all land mammals.

I don't think the shark one is right🙄. Why would a slicer needs a jaw power of a crusher? I'm sure the Croc need them but not shark. Wasn't it at 669?

The strongest bite clearly belongs to the saltwater crocodile without question. Bite force of great white shark is just estimated and the bullshark has the strongest bite out of sharks

The great white does not have a bite force of 4000psi, it has been recorded to have a bite force of 652psi due to the fact that their teeth are meant for ripping and tearing flesh, not crushing or piercing bones. Bull shark has a stronger bite force (force of 1500psi) however, not stronger than the saltwater crocodile which has a recorded biteforce of 7700lbs and Nile crocodile has one of 5000psi.

This is the top ten, I know it off by heart:
10: Lion 650psi
9: Tiger 1050psi
8: Spotted Hyena 1100psi
7: Grizzly/Polar bear 1200psi
6: Gorilla 1300psi
5: Jaguar 1500psi
4: Hippopotamus 1825psi
3: American Alligator 2125 psi
2: Saltwater Crocodile 3690psi
1: Nile crocodile 5000psi

Fully marine animals (sharks, orcas) have never been accurately tested, and are only estimates. Therefore I don't count the 4000 by a great white and 19, 000 by an orca.

The lion's bite force is also probably inaccurate, and has only been tested once. Its believed to be more around 1000 psi.

Lastly, the salties' bite force is outdated, and I think it's like 7000 now?

I didn't think a great white shark had such a bite force.
I was led to believe that their teeth are so razor sharp that bite force wasn't all that necessary.

What about a Nile crocodile's supposed bite of 5, 000?
