I'm British. It seems to me that it will be the American public that have to foot the bill. Other countries will just stop trading with America.

He also said he could end the middle east war and Ukraine war in a week. We all know how that went.

If you asked Donald Trump he would struggle to tell you what a recession is. His area of expertise are bankruptcies.

He did make a distinction between adversary and ally, he didn't put any tariffs on Russia.

1890s was great for oligarchs. That's why Trump pines for 1890s. Krugman knows this.

He did make distinctions. Russia and its satellites did not get hit with tariffs.

Canada’s post-pandemic economic recovery was the 5th weakest in the OECD
Economic Perspectives and Canada’s economy has generated little prosperity for the average Canadian over the past 8 years. Government forecasts indicate the economy is also expected to generate little or no prosperity over the next 8 years

Completely agree that Canada needs to work with Europe and react together. I think that is so important.

He's been wrong a lot on a lot of things, but his Nobel Laureate was on Trade Policy, I'm going to trust him on this one.

Paul is obviously brilliant (Nobel Prize 🥇), but he’s also FUNNY. I’ve never paid for access on Substack to someone’s articles until I learned about Paul. I’m not even a finance/economics person! 😄 He shares what is REALLY going on in this Trumptasrophy, how to understand the impacts, and does it in a way even *I* can understand.
