Your story about your twin daughters Maggie and Violet was so touching. It took me back 40 years. I wasn't pregnant with twins but I was a nineteen year old kid. I went into labor 12 weeks to early. I lived in Waterloo, Iowa. I didn't know anything and didnt know I was in labor till my mom came to my house and said let's time your pains. So off to the hospital I went. My doctors and hospital decided to send me to Rochester, Minnesota by helicopter, so Mayo 1 came to Waterloo, picked me up and off to Rochester we went. I had 3 diiferent medications to stop my labor but nothing worked. I gave birth to a 2lb 7oz little girl. My daughter was in the NICU 2 days short of 2 months. We couldnt afford to stay in Rochester those 2 months. So every week and a half to two weeks we would go up there for a few days. Of course in 1985 we didnt have cpap and all the new technology they do now. It was touch and go the whole two months. But I am happy to say my preemie daughter Ashley will be 40 in February!! Your little Violet is just a doll. Thank you for your story!
