Lidl Family Food Shopping | Lidl UK Grocery Haul

I hope you’re having a great day so far! Welcome back to what’s for tea, and I hope I find you all very well.

So here’s a wee look at what we got at Lidl this week :) I spent just over £60 and that will see us through the week :) I’ve still a few bits to get from the local butcher too which will be around £25.

I like to look at it because a lot of those premade items are not widely available in the US. So I have never eaten potato croquettes, as an example. But maybe it is something I could make. But I enjoy seeing how other people live. Thanks so much.

Not going to lie, in the US, these groceries would cost about 3-4x what you pay (and I am considering the currency conversion.)
The prepared foods (especially the pre-made entrees and sides) would be 4-6x what you pay.

I enjoy your grocery hauls. I get ideas of what different things to serve.
I mostly enjoy the scenes of Scotland 💕. We will likely never get there so it's fun to ride along with you through the countryside and by the sea.
We live in Maine USA. Currently 🥶 freezing. We see the other shore from Acadia National Park.

Since you-know-what struck we've been doing all our in-store shopping from the local Lidl, with a monthly interweb shop from Morrisons to get anything not available at Lidl (unfortunately quite a lot). We've been really impressed with the fresh meat from their 'better' range: the beef and pork loin joints are superb with no waste whatsoever.

I'm just back from Lidl, bicycle and a backpack. i'd missed the corn on the cobs 67p, i throw one of these in the crockpot with whatever i'm making, always lovely.

Lidl was our go-to store for grocery shopping when we were in Edinburgh. I loved that there were always surprise finds there.

You seemed to get a lot more for less money at Lidl than you do at Sainsbury's. I came to Australia in 1968 as an 8.5 year old but can remember going with my granny to Galbraith's or "" the coporative"" brings back memories thank you

I do like lidl, good value. The only problem is that you go in for grub, and come out with a fire extinguisher too. On your recommendation I did pop the bacon medallions into my basket, and liked them.
