I've been to Thailand once, mainly to train muay thai boxing.
It was the nicest place I have ever been to. Here are things I loved:
1. Prices: Cheap as hell to eat delicious food, train in top gyms, sleep in beautiful hotels, etc.
2. Absolutely nice people (Buddhist culture).
3. Everything is safe and clean for a relatively developing country. In fact cleaner than where I'm from (France). It's basically Singapore but in developing country mode (cheaper, etc) but weather and activities are similar. Basically it would be a place to live full time, were I not working in Europe tbh.
The warm year long beach weather is also amazing for skin (high humidity).
