How do the split coils compare to the single coil player telecaster ? is this a more versatile guitar than the regular or is this more oriented towards rock players ? i am unsure which one to buy.

Are there any guitars just like this but has a coil-split? I think the humbucker for tele is super cool, much better than we I hear from a ssh strat, but I would want at least one single-coil

Sounds pretty nice... and people say it "has to be" a US Telecaster or any Fender "has to be" made in US for it to be good enough lol. I enjoy the player series, i don't mind the american pro or in general american mades, but i don't favour any of them, because to me, a fender, is a fender.. having it as "my american fender" is just sort of an ego boost as i don't think there is too much difference on them, except if you have rosewood neck, that can't really nothing compete against, not even ebony or Oak, Teak, Sapele, Iroko and Meranti. Pao Ferro is kinda nice, the only things i don't like too much with Pao Ferro is the fact that is has too much twigs in the fingerboard, like long twigs from all the way thru or that goes out in the middle of the fretboard and down. Not that it matter but rosewood tend to look better than Pap Ferro. The sound is pretty similar tho, except the rosewood has a bit difference resonance.
Maple Necks are also pretty nice

How big of a difference in quality is there compared to the Squier Contemporary Tele HH? Would it be better to just grab this Fender? They both seem to be great guitars.
