After moving away a few years ago, and knowing in my heart I’d be back, I just got hired with a huge civil contractor in Anchorage and will finally be able to live my dream of getting back up north and raising my kids in this beautiful state...I kept my Alaska phone number and bank account lol 2-3 weeks from now I’ll be on the Alcan..

Hi thanks for the vidoe. My reason to move here
1. The air is cleaner. 1st spring without taking any allergy meds
2. In some small communities, you can make it without a car. I have been here for 10mos no car
3. Job opportunities in health care
4. The simplicity of life.

I’ve been loving your videos. My husband and I are planning to move to Alaska in a few years 🙏🏻
We both love the cold, snow, cozy weather and quiet environment. Can’t wait! :)

8 great reasons to move there, as well as the fresh air! I have lived in Salt Lake County, Utah for most of my life and the population and cost of living has exploded exponentially. The air quality continually suffers from the inversions every winter and summer trapped between the mountains of the Salt Lake Valley. I am strongly considering moving to Alaska for all of the reasons discussed and more!

I’d say the food is actually one benefit of living there, along with the aurora borealis and the sense of pride, nothing compares to Alaska

I moved to Houston Tx from Alliance NE about 12 years ago and I absolutely hate it hear. Too damn hot too damn busy and everyone is in a rush. Last October I was riding my motorcycle and some guy driving an f150 in a hurry missed his turn and did a U-turn straight through me. I spent weeks in the hospital and still have a bad limp to this day. I would give everything I have to move to Alaska unfortunately I already had to sell it all for medical bills and to afford my physical therapy. One day I will escape this hell and head back north I swear it.

freedom. no property tax in some areas. constitutional carry. no sales tax mostly. legal to ride atvs on the roads, outside of the towns that have outlawed it. alaskas public use areas outshine any of the lower 48s, marijuana is legal for those who are into it. and to me the best part of alaska is the shock that you get when you tell some
you live there or are moving there. tells me i have made the right choice.

I moved 7 months ago and I love it!! I wish this state could stay on the low down. So many other states have been ruined already. What I like the most? If you buy a condo under $200k or so, there is NO property tax. I downsized to put some coin in the bank and I pay no income tax, no sales tax and NO property tax. You at least get a nice exemption. What is better than that??? The PFD is good enough for a round trip ticket once a year. You get on the highway 8 miles out and nobody is there. CONS? It's EXPENSIVE for everything but the pay is a bit higher. Keep in mind everything gets shipped in and thanks to Biden, fuel to get it here everything is crazy high. What is good is you can go catch your food up here. Ship Creek Kings are coming in. If you are a city person and like a lot of nightlife, it won't work for ya. Downtown during the week is a ghost the craziest thing I've experienced. I say to myself, "Where is everyone, it's a work day?". If you are an extrovert, you might have a hard time here as people really do keep to themselves for the most part. If you are a single most likely will stay that way up here. Guys come here to fish, hunt, camp to chase woman. They just aren't here if you seek one over a 6. 8s are a rare unicorn. Forget 9s and 10s. Just keeping it real.

I am so tired of the Sun, the sand and all the fun here in Florida. I’m ready for some fresh air, bleak 22 hour days freezing temps. Sign me up!

I’m 18 years old. About to graduate high school. I want to find a partner and hopefully convince them to move to Alaska with me. Because I do not want to go alone😅. But I really want to move to Alaska in the next 5 years or so

One important thing I noticed is how absolutely friendly and helpful most people are when compared to people in the lower 48. One important thing to remember though is be that person right back at them.
