Boston Acoustic tvee 25 subwoofer noise

Need help figuring out if the sub is shot, or the amp. Makes the noise constantly, tried all 4 channels, different sources, different houses. Never driven hard, about 2 years old.

7 years later don’t hate… You need to fix the internals, a lot of the old boston systems need some tweaking to the resistors etc

Having this same issue after having this unit for 3 years. Let me know if you found anything on this.

I have this exact subwoofer. Does it have to have the sound bar to work or can you work it alone without the sound bar?

Just change the the two big capacitor in there, they are not filtering the ac noise, cheep components

Same buzzing issue one day with my 3 year old tvee 25 subwwoofer., found 1on ebay for $50....worked for 1 day., returned it, bought another one on ebay, worked 1 week...same buzzing noise....i took a hammer to both subwoofers....no more buzzing noise...not happy with boston acoustics on this one...

Mine just started to do this but it held up for 8 years or maybe even more. My model is MCS 90.

Have the same exact issue with my TVee 25.  Did you ever find a fix?
