How do you use content targeting in 2023?

If you've seen the news, you may know that YouTube is removing content targeting (targeting your ads in front of specific videos, placements, and topics).

But you may not know that there is a way to still use content targeting for your ads in 2023.

Because YouTube is specifically doing this for conversion-optimized or lead-optimized ads. Ads where you set the objective to get more leads, sales, and purchases for your business.

What does this mean? Simply put, you can run ad campaigns WITHOUT those goals, and this allows you to put your ads (once again) in front of videos, placements, and topics. This is what's known as CPV (cost-per-view) YouTube Ads.

This is where you're specifically paying for each view instead of bidding on conversions and actually used to be the only way you could run YouTube ads many years ago...
