Bruce Springsteen fans wait hours for opening show of 2023 tour

The boss is back at Amalie Arena. Bruce Springsteen kicked off his 2023 E Street Band tour to a packed house on Wednesday. For many of the fans, it felt like a true homecoming after COVID-19.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC SHOW!!! There's a reason he's called "The Boss." Everyone had a wonderful time! The fans are so friendly at his concerts. He brings in all ages...old, middle age, young. He sings with such passion and puts on a great concert. 73 years old and sings for over 3 hours! 😍

Saw Bruce Springsteen and the EStreet Band at Santa Barbara University in 1975. It was memorable!

Thought occurs I don't sing one single Bruce song..? Some snobby guitar player told me to learn the trumpet part 2 that hey Eddie lend me $10 and let's go for a ride or whatever... Which I learned... And then the guy told me no I decided I don't think so... we didn't do it at the open mic or whatever... I ended up sitting in with another band that happened to be doing the song at another venue and it was Dynamite... I still think Bruce is corny.. maybe he ain't s*** without Clarence? It's like the dead without Jerry.. snobby guitar players stupid narcissistic splitting... Is what led me to stop chasing other people around with my trumpet or bass guitar and just learn how to play guitar and sing myself... Seems clear we need to be our own Heroes and heroines at this juncture

Sure Springsteen had a very hard fraught upcoming... selling doses for the Pope... In order to avoid the hook at the Apollo... In retrospect I would call him a propped up stage hog... Which was the all-too-common MKUltra formula... That affected even local venues musicians musicality... And now it's even hard to find a place to make music because of the Roman DJs have taken over if not the Roman jukebox... Man those Knights of Malta got us from all angles
