The all-new 2023 Ford Taurus has endured tortuous testing conditions in the Middle East ahead of its imminent arrival, though remains safely under wraps for now. Despite soaring mercury outside, Ford Taurus’ cabin will remain a comfortable place to be, thanks to the rigorous scrutiny the vehicle is put under before arriving to market.

Ford has a comprehensive lineup of testing facilities around the world, which put vehicles through conditions from the extreme to the mundane. In Thailand and India, Australia and China – where the all-new Taurus is built – Ford’s vehicles are put through their paces to ensure they’re built to the Blue Oval’s exacting world-class standards.

More specifically for the Middle East’s often grueling heat, however, the engineering team at Ford’s Product Development base in Dubai are afforded the luxury of ambient temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius, in which they can hot-weather test Taurus under real world conditions quite unlike anywhere else on the planet.

Ford’s flagship sedan has enjoyed unprecedented popularity in recent years – being the brand’s best-selling nameplate in the region for half a decade – with a bold new design expected to continue that success. At a regional level last year, Taurus performed particularly well in the UAE’s Mid-Size Saloon category, with a remarkable 527 per cent year-on-year growth for the nameplate. In Saudi Arabia, sales were up more than 73 per cent across the kingdom, while Kuwait saw numbers up 125 per cent. Meanwhile, Oman (63 per cent) and Bahrain (42 per cent) all recorded positive figures.

From a panoramic sunroof and three alloy wheel size options to its powerful and efficient 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine with eight-speed automatic transmission – operated by a contemporary rotary gear shifter on the centre console – Taurus delivers more of what large sedan buyers. Driver assist technologies include adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system and blind spot intervention (BLIS), while on the inside, wireless charging and an impressive 13.2-inch centre screen with Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility, along with an 8-eight-inch digital cluster display, ensuring the technophiles are catered to.The all-new segment-leader Ford Taurus will arrive to Middle East showrooms soon with its all-new modern design, powerful turbocharged engine, unique regional premium touches, and highly-desired technologies.

They need to bring back to the American market. I own a 2014 limited... I've always loved the Ford Taurus.

Amazing how they stop selling the cars in the home market just as they're making them better! Why can't citizens who live in the US get this type of quality? Not everyone wants an SUV.

In case you're wondering, this is China-exclusive Ford Mondeo sold in Middle East as Ford Taurus.

As an owner of a 2018 Ford Taurus SHO made for States, I truly believe that Ford made a huge mistake by canceling that car. I believe that there was so much potential available in competing with the Dodge Mopar Charger 4 door sedan and just making the Ford Taurus better in evolution which would have been so great to see.

Fantastic model, with a great new look. Ford needs at least one sedan in the US, and this is the one

I hope Ford and other manufacturers building sedans in the US market to keep open options and for people who don't wanna pay a lot for gas

I bought a (used) Taurus All Wheel Drive a few months ago - It's surprisingly fast, it handles great, and it was a helluva bargain!

Too bad Ford won't make nice cars like this for us in America... 😩

So Ford gave us its best looking car and sells it overseas & left the dead beats here in the US? This sedan is an A in terms of beauty and technology. Wow, way to go Ford 🤨

Why people don’t seem to want mid-size sedans anymore is beyond me. They have a presence that similarly priced crossovers simply don’t have.

Needs to be in the US market. F the executives turning Ford into a SUV and truck only company.

As a Ford taurus 2016 owner. It's a collectors car I pay 450 a year for fully coveraged protection. People don't get the ingenuity of this car its to make you realize that all those gabs you over pay for mean absolutely nothing and you're just a tool. This car obliterates anything you ain't dropping 110k for atleast. Plus all the fees and shit. Thats why I appreciate this car and that's why it's appreciated by companies.

Beautiful, I wish it was being sold here 🙁

I think this could compete with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and all of the other mid-size cars... they should try selling it here.
