@alexrox9 That would be a manufacturing defect, as indicated by the dry air storage.
The first month or so of production in the old construction had a serious issue. The fiberglass that holds the board together was not wide enough. We have changed core material and adjusted layup method finally solving the issue by July.

It took us months to track down the issue, and most of this year to track down anyone who got a bad board. If you have one you are backed up 100%. Give us a call.

@FrostSickness check out the Apex 40 with double concave, and the Freeride 41 with rocker. The freeride is geared more towards sliding and higher speeds, and the Apex 40 is meant more for freestyle tricks, but can handle freeriding as well.

@robertman369 The Apex 37 takes advantage only of the strength aspects of the construction that was developed for it. We have some new shapes that will make those other positive qualities stand out. If you arent into the current Apex 37, no worries. The construction is setup to help Freestylers who do some Freeriding as well, that is not a large population, but if you are into that you might be into it. The most important differences are in the ride not the look.

@DMANGONEFISHIN look for a wheel with rounded edges. The Big Zigs have a squareish edge, making it a bit more difficult to slide. Also, you want a durometer of 80a or higher. Some popular sliding wheels are the Freerides, Flashbacks, Grippins, and the Stimulus wheels.

On a long run I've definitely felt like i'm snowboarding. Throwing some checks and buttering around some 180's back and forth, wind in my beard and a smile on my face, always a good time.

@mjq9948 The apex 34 is great for cruising, carving, and freestyle. If you're looking to do some hills and freeriding then the apex 37 will provide you with more control and stability over the 34. If you're interested in mostly bombing hills and freeriding then take a look at our Freeride 41 rocker concave!

@darkness1544 the freeride handles speeds best. If you like the Apex and you want to ride at higher speeds then you should look into the Apex 40 with double concave.
