Who is DC Comics' Nubia? Powerful New Queen of the Amazons!

This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the DC Comics character "Nubia." From being an ancient woman subjected to the harsh treatment of a man, springing forth from the Island of Themyscira's Well of Souls around the same time as Princess Diana Wonder Woman, serving as the sole guardian to Doom's Doorway who quickly defeated the only chimera monster to escape named the Manticore, helping to restore the Amazonian Paradise Island by battling Darkseid's daughter Grail who had usurped Hippolyta's throne, having the courage and integrity to accept a test to become the new Wonder Woman which supposedly involved the Gorgon Medusa head, to being awarded the crown and royal scepter to become the new Queen of Themyscira; Let's take a look at this powerful DC superhero, and the iconic black sister of Wonder Woman Diana Prince. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic book and science fiction characters.

Love how they've been developing Nubia recently. I hope she's here to stay and doesn't vanish in comic limbo. Her Staff of Understanding is quite new and we don't know much about what manifesting the intention of its wielder means yet. She also has magical connections from guarding Dooms' Doorway for so long. Really interested in what they do with all these unique elements!

I love this in the 1970"s Nubia was Diana "s Twin Sister before she was a Queen of Themyscira or Paradise Island. Thank you for a wonderful enlightenment about Nubia!!

She never had a “staff of understanding “ in the beginning. She was introduced with a sword and shield and she was awesome with it. But then, DC decided to give that power-set to Diana.🤔

I hope shows or movies (liveaction or animated) of characters like this get made. It seems like we keep getting movies of the same superheroes over and over again, and there is no point to that when there are characters like this that most people probably do not know about.

Donna troy is Wonder woman's twin. Nubia looks nothing like Diana Prince. Nubia is her youngest sister. Also Diana Prince would become queen of the Amazons since she is the oldest. The writers are just creating new characters and putting them ahead of others, without it making any sense. Donna is Diana's twin.

For people who don't know because it isn't taught unfortunately but Nubia was a Real place in Ancient times. There are different names for ancient Nubia but one of them is Ta Seti, which means *Land of The Bow* 🏹. They were great warriors and known throughout the ancient world for their expertise when it came to the use of the bow and arrow. They had a great Black civilization and at point even conquered Egypt, forming the 25 dynasty of Egypt. The civilization was in modern day Sudan and still till this very day, Sudan has more pyramids than that of Egypt. Another name for Nubia is Kush and you can go to Google or right here on YouTube and look up this wonderful civilization. Have fun.
