THE CUCKOO JENKA - WILD ONES

"Now what the ffffffffflippin' bird is THIS?" you may think. Dear children, we're going way back in time - it's 1964, still in the age of the steadily changing dance crazes, and from Finland came: The 'Letkiss'! Just watch the priceless footage and you'll know what the 'Letkiss' was all about. Well, not quite, because what you see are somewhat "morally watered-down" versions of the dance (if you will) - without the kissing ('Letkiss' minus the kiss?) . . . hmm, but never mind.

And look at them real wild devils in that band - wonder how that lot came to earning their name! Their sound reminds a bit of their fellow countrymen 'The Spotnicks' - and THEY didn't look the part either. ;-) Anyway, enjoy!

p.s. Syncing up the footage with the music nearly drove me nuts - I had to adjust it all over the place, cause them dancers just wouldn't keep time properly . . . bloody amateurs! ;-)
