Would this still be applicable on a 2017 sql cluster going to sql 2022 cluster? as in version upgrade? and not just patch or CU ?

Thank You so much for your videos. I need to ask a question I am not finding:
I notice each time you failover to make the node you are to patch secondary (Ex. 8:19), I see you need to "Resume" the DB on the secondary. Why must you do this? It this because because you set to Manual Failover prior to patching?

Also, if you do not "Resume" the secondary would the log file fail to truncate on the primary until those logs are flushed to the secondary?
