Working from Home (with Kids) | My Productivity Tips

Показать описание
2020 became the year work from home became the norm rather than an outlier. In this video I share 3 important tips for remote work and the 3 main shifts of the day where I get work done... with kids.
Because even though I've been #workingfromhome since 2013, like many people I'm not used to working and being the primary caregiver of our two young boys (my wife is a nurse, shout out to all the healthcare heroes in this time).
3 Tips for Effective Remote Work
1. Start your day with clarity on the top tasks you need to complete
2. Time block the hours for deep (creative) work vs quick (manager) work
3. Over-communicate with family members and co-workers
3 Phases of a Work from Home Day (with kids)
1. Early AM before the boys wake up: focus on creative work & top tasks
2. Nap time: focus on the main needle-moving project
3. After bed: wrap up any leftover work and review the day
My name is Matt Ragland and I make videos about using a minimalist bullet journal to focus on what matters most to you. I’ll show you how to use concepts like 10 Blocks, Time Tracking Grids, and Project Timelines to quickly see what needs to be done and when.
