I am so glad you had the problem with the weight being in grams. Recently we've have some problems like that on test even though we weren't taught those type of math problems yet. isnt the second problem supposed to be divided by 2? 84.1/2= 42 mg/dose or not in this case? we did so in the first problem as well.

Hello, your videos have helped a lot. I have a question,

if the order says: 1mg/kg/dose, pt weight 188lbs, dose on hand is 100ml/ mg. How many mg will you administer per dose?

Which mg do you plug in first? The order or what’s available?

Order: Med A 3mg/kg/day IV in 3 divided doses. Patient's weight is 176lbs. Available: Med A 80mg/2mL. How much should the nurse give for one dose?

I am missing the point of calculation. You are cancelling mg/kg/lb. how are you multiplying or dividing to get that result for the one with ML/Day?

I am no good at math. I have a cat dying from kidney failure that needs med now. Can anybody help me? The label says give 100 mg/kg daily. My cat weighs 17 lbs.
