Cutting yourself on the sharp edge of a can top after you've opened it isn't fun. It's also not great when the top falls into your canned tomatoes and you have to find a way to fish it out without hurting yourself. Ready for a better way? The Pampered Chef Smooth-Edge Can Opener cuts the entire top off the can, ensuring that it never falls into your food and leaving behind a perfectly smooth edge that will never cut you. Just clamp onto the top of your can and turn the knob clockwise. When you're done, turn the knob counterclockwise to release, then use the pincers to grab the top and pull it off the can.

Have trouble with standard manual can openers because you're left-handed? The Smooth-Edge Can Opener works for everyone, no matter if you're right-handed or left-handed, and it's dishwasher-safe.

My wife found one of these somewhere in the house. It doesn't cut anything. In the trash it goes. Thanks, Pampered Chef!

I'm at a friend's house and they had I one. I'm so glad you have a video of how to use it! Once I figured it out, it worked great!

Genius design. I’m serious, gotta love that smooth “cut” and the ability to place the lid back on. Makes those old-school sharp-edged ones seem like they’re from ancient times.

I walked into a Value Village looking for a can opener and cutting board bought one of these for $2.99 not realizing I had no idea how to use it thinking no wonder this was at a thrift store since it was either broken or someone just didn't want it any more. Well after watching this video, I am THRILLED with how cool it is!!! It does cut cleanly with a really smooth edge. I was very surprised and very pleased with how easy it was to use this once i watched this video. To those who watch this video and decide they don't want it anyone, I will gladly take any being tossed!

Ready to throw mine in the garbage! Thought I had it down pat but last few cans I just couldn’t get it to grab. Got further beating my lid with the tool 🤬 Anything that needs a degree to use is should go back to the drawing board. My kids and hubby have long given up on using it even after several tutorials. Opt for my nearly broken old fashion one instead which still actually opens it. My mom has a similar Tupperware one and I’ve never had issues with it.

EVERYTIME I use this thing, I have to remind myself how to use it. I’m about to go back to the old countertop ones! I have to agree with other comments, not the greatest design.

Ok, so my old can opener broke a couple day's ago. Thankfully, I had my pampered chef can opener on hand but wasn't quite sure how to use it. Thanks for the video. It is fantastic once you learn how to use it.

I didn't realize it was going to cut around the outside of the can instead of on the inner part of the lid, I didn't think it was working....so now there's liquid from the tuna all over the counter and my hands...what a strange contraption, I agree with other people's comments, what was wrong with the old style can opener??

Mine doesn’t work. It won’t cut. Can I get a refund?

I have this one and honestly it sucks . Hate that I wasted my money on it . Getting a Tupperware one instead . It actually works like a dream.

how can I buy this can opener online? Is there any link where I can buy?

Once you learn how to use it - it works well. If you don't figure it out then it seems to be useless. Fact is, this is the same design that has been sold for at least 20 years so... you have to ask yourself if it is as bad as you think... how is that even possible?

This has got to be the worst designed can opener in the history of the universe! I've watched this 5 times and still can't get this pos to work! 🤯

This can opener makes me irrationally upset. Like, it actually makes me mad. Yes, I know how to use it but 1.) I had to look up how to use it, which is crazy considering it’s a can opener, 2.) it doesn’t work half of the time, 3.) it’s a CAN OPENER, a perfect design has already been in use for ages—why over complicate things? It just bothers me so much that something so simple was butchered to this extent. It actually is infuriating that people thought of this and brought it to the market. I really should be upset, but I just can’t believe how stupid it is.

Do not buy this. Most can openers are easy. Just grab and use in a few seconds. I need this video every time I use this, and it never cuts properly. I only use this can opener when its the only one available. Absolutely horrendous design. If a can opener needs a tutorial video, it already failed.
