The Mazda2 Hybrid for 2024 is a result of a collaboration between Mazda Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation, stemming from a partnership formed in 2015. This self-charging hybrid is designed for urban life, boasting expressive lines, attractive proportions, and a compact size. The vehicle has been redesigned with Mazda's signature design elements, giving it a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The 2024 model features a new face with a distinct Mazda bumper and grill design, coupled with a unique rear that exudes sportiness.

The Mazda2 Hybrid is equipped with cutting-edge hybrid technology that transitions smoothly between electric, petrol, and combination modes. This ensures an agile and enjoyable driving experience in various situations. The compact car pairs a 1490 cm³, 92 PS/68 kW three-cylinder petrol engine with a 59 kW electric motor, resulting in a total system power of 116 PS/85 kW. Performance-wise, the hybrid can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 175 km/h. It also boasts impressive fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.

In the European market, the Mazda2 Hybrid holds significant importance for Mazda. The company believes in offering a range of sustainable technologies, from battery-electric vehicles and hybrids to rotary engines as power generators. This multi-solution strategy aims to reduce emissions effectively and quickly. By 2030, Mazda plans to offer a comprehensive range of electric vehicles for Europe's primary segments. The ultimate goal for Mazda is to achieve carbon neutrality across all its operations by 2050.

Despite its compact size, the Mazda2 Hybrid is designed for comfort and space. Measuring 3,940 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, it's one of the most compact vehicles in the B-segment. Yet, its design ensures it's equally suitable for congested urban environments and open roads. The 2024 model introduces a new face aligned with Mazda's design philosophy and a more refined rear. The vehicle's exterior showcases a blend of vitality and stability, with design elements that highlight the craftsmanship involved in its creation.

I don't like what Mazda have done on this re-design. The previous version looked better - straight from Toyota with Mazda emblems.
