Ive been producing music for 15 years, hundreds of cool tracks that have only served as a crop for me to pick out ones I liked for my own music releases - the rest are just chilling on my hard drive doing nothing. Seeing your video and a few others like this makes me realize those thousands of hours could actually be making me money right now. Thanks for the content!

Composers selling tracks for $5. Welcome to the race to the bottom. Then they will wonder why they can't make real money. Can hardly believe how so many composers are willing to sell out for a Big Mac and fries.

Right on Stevie B - thanks for the insight into your process. I just started uploading to royalty free libraries - Pond5 specifically and they accepted my catalogue. Made a first sale after about a week and then we heard about the publishing shift and royalty reduction. Now I'm scanning the horizon for other options to diversify, so that's where we're at - looking for options. Respect from Alberta. Gus

Yes, starting out on AJ is not easy. Especially with super low prices some people are setting. Good luck, mate! In this game the most stable and adaptable will withstand. Stay positive and safe!

Hey Stevie, this is great stuff man. I just quit my job and am looking for exactly this kind of side hustle. It's nice to see real earnings and be able to check the music being sold as well. Thanks for being so transparent. Going to sign up on a few of those websites, thanks!

Hey Stevie, I wanted to know if you have a video on the different type of licenses and how they work…? I’m not certain on the amount of plays that are provided and so on…. Thanks

What you'll find with Audiojungle is that they give great priority to newly uploaded tracks. What normally happens is you'll upload a track, maybe catch a few sales and then after a few months or maybe sooner that track will kind of get lost and then only sell now and again. Unless you get it past something like 20 sales before that point it won't rank that well for the keywords and such. There are old tracks that sell well indefinitely but that's because they already got to a high amount of sales.

So to sum up, you have to keep uploading regularly to sell and for your other tracks to keep selling. Of course it's designed that way to benefit Audiojungle.

Very educational. Sounds like you did a good job studying the styles of music and creating tracks that fit in. Do you plan on joining a PRO like BMI to collect backend royalties? Is it important to form an LLC before uploading, or okay to upload as an individual? What do you think of Pond5 modifying the terms to 65/35 instead of 50/50? Does that mean Pond5 isn't worth bothering with anymore, or still a good site for beginning composers?

Thank you Stevie I just started to upload to POND5 and get some reject about my SFX for no reason. And even when I compare to some others they seem to hear a less more pro no EQ or Compression or any post edit audio and they still on the POND5 platform

Hey man thanks for the video. I went and checked out your audio jungle and was very impressed with the quality and diversity of your music. I am also wondering how you have so any instrumental sounds like electric guitar, ukelele, guitar, strings etc. Do you record those yourself? Or do you use a bunch of VSTs? If so, which VSTs do you use? Thanks again man

Thanks for the video man! Three questions: 1) Do you upload multiple versions of each song (:15, :30, :60 sec, etc?) 2) do you do recommend doing exclusive on audio jungle? 3)Is it possible to change the status form exclusive to non-exclusive?

Hey thanks man great info! I just started uploading to pond5 a month ago. And haven't had any sales. I will try audiojungle and some other sites next. It would be greatly helpful to show your process for writing production music. Do you think your success with audiojungle is because of the length of time you've been a member?

This is awesome results! Especially with Pond5. Did you do any outside marketing to draw views to your audio jungle or pond5 page to help get those sales? Congrats again

Thanks for the video, How’s the last few months? I’m wondering if it’s better to have my tracks that are on audio jungle also registered with my PRO. It seems a lot of the high sellers don’t register their tracks and you can even search for tracks and cut out all those affiliated to a PRO. Pros and cons? Thanks again!
